ENLIGHTENING TOURISM: A PATHMAKING JOURNAL (ET journal) was launched in 2011, after one year of preparation:

Now that we are about to conclude its 10th anniversary, it is a good time to look backwards and take note of what has been reached. Some basic statistics for the period 2011-2020 are summarized in the following table (countries arranged in alphabetical order):
Therefore, in its first ten years of life, 193 authors from 30 countries have contributed to the 79 research papers published, under a basic principle: quality over quantity.
Authors affiliated to institutions located in Spain account for 23.8% of the total, followed by Portugal (17.6%), Italy (15.0) and India (9.3%). These four countries represent, therefore, almost two-thirds of the authorship, with the number of authors ranging from 1 to 6 (an average of 2.4 authors per article).
20 book reviews have to be added to this record, one per issue.
The evolution of its number of citations, and its most cited titles, can be found in Google Scholar:

It is worth remembering that ET Journal is listed in SCOPUS since 2018, with its first metrics released in 2019:
https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100886429 - https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=21100886429&tip=sid&clean=0
In short, this is a Scopus journal,100% in English, 100% online, 100% open access and where no charges of any type are applied to authors. We have been to the service of the tourism community since 2011, working under a pro-bono basis since its outset.
From our modesty, a sincere thanks to authors, reviewers, editorial team and those who have given us their support from the various boards (and even out of them). Joining forces we can consolidate and make grow this project aimed to enlighten the global tourism industry through the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
Merry Christmas to all, particularly to the tourism community. Hopefully, in 2021 the long-awaited recovery begins to be noticeable.
